What is the BRG Watford Programme?


The Business Recovery and Growth (BRG) Programme gives Watford businesses, start-ups and residents free of charge instant access to a wide range of business support services.


Our free services include:


  • Impartial, expert 1:1 business advice (whether it's help with adapting or growing an existing business, guidance on starting up a business or just friendly advice at a stressful time our team can help)

  • Easy instant access to business advice live chat, 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday*

  • Skills training webinars and workshops (topics ranging from social media and marketing to cashflow and writing a business plan)

  • Access to co-working space for new businesses

  • Specialist advice on areas such as IT, websites and legal

  • Access to an ecosystem of connections to all other available business support across Hertfordshire

  • Virtual networking opportunities with other businesses across Hertfordshire and beyond

  • Anyone living in Watford that is interested in becoming self-employed or starting a business

  • FREE impartial business start-up advice from our expert business advisors - either online, via telephone or face-to-face (with social distancing measures in place at our Watford business centre).  From help with writing your business plan to raising finance, your advisor will be there to listen and guide you through each step of the way as you start your new venture.

  • FREE access to a wide range of tailored business start-up webinars from Starting a business - is it right for me? to Website Development for your Small Business - all designed for those setting up their own business.  These are also a great way to network with other like-minded people on a similar journey.

Data will be retained by WBC for three years.

Your data will not be published or referred to in a way that identifies any individual or business.

WBC’s privacy notice explains how you can exercise your rights in respect of this data.  The Council will not use your personal data for marketing unless you provide explicit consent for this above.
